So today I had the opportunity to volunteer for the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue* at the Brickyard 400.  The Brickyard is held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, also the home of the Indianapolis 500.

While there were many amazing sights to be had I was only able to capture a few of those visions with my camera.  Also even though the people watching was at an all time high I was unable to capture all of its rednekkid goodness, with the exception of the Feathery Mullet.

Truly one of the most amazing observations made would be the collection of wheel chairs at the base of the stairs leading up to the bleachers.  There was also that one lone Jazzy left sadly to the right of the stairs.  The Jazzy and the additional wheel chairs raised just a few questions for me:

1) If you need a wheel chair to get to the stairs how are you possibly climbing them to your seat?  2)  Are you just too lazy to walk to the stairs?  3)  Do you have breathing issues that keep your from walking around easily on your own and if so should you be breathing in the toxins at the track?  4)  How is that jazzy supposed to race if its parked outside of the track?

Well once the race got underway we became a little bored if not delirious at our booth and well some hamming(on my part) for the camera ensued.

Finally a truly mellow and sweet young couple both requested fist bumps from me after ringing them up and explaining my tattoos.  They were by far my favorite customers of the day.  Maybe it was the fact they were suffering from mild dehydration due to the beers they drank during the race.  Maybe it was the fact that they were high as a kite.  Or maybe just because they were genuinely happy when I returned a fist bump before they wandered, slightly confused into the sunset.

All in all it was a long, hot but fairly fun day that allowed us to raise some money for a great organization that helped introduce me to my boy Baxter.
